Located in the parish of Seara, just 5 km from the centre of Ponte de Lima, Quinta do Bom Gosto is a historic estate positioned along the EN208 National Road, which connects Viana do Castelo and Ponte de Lima. The property borders the Portuguese Way of the Camino de Santiago, on the route between Barcelos and Ponte de Lima, and is situated just 2 km from the Lima River. The main manor house, built in 1896 in the Revivalist architectural style, offers 1,146 m² of built area and showcases remarkable stone masonry and handcrafted woodwork. The building is arranged over three distinct levels. The ground floor, originally dedicated to agricultural activities, includes a traditional wine cellar, bottle cellar, grain and fruit storage areas, and former livestock facilities. The first floor forms the main living area and comprises an entrance hall, a traditional kitchen, several reception rooms of varying sizes—including a grand living room with 11 windows—one bedroom and a bathroom. The second floor is dedicated exclusively to bedrooms and features a central skylight, although this level requires restoration. The floors are connected by two superimposed staircases, with the staircase to the ground floor built in granite and the upper connections crafted in wood. The estate extends over approximately 6.5 hectares, entirely enclosed by traditional granite walls. The grounds include Loureiro vineyards used for the production of Vinho Verde, orchards, landscaped gardens and internal walking paths. From a botanical perspective, the estate is home to Schistostega pennata, commonly known as the luminous moss, a rare species that displays a natural glowing effect in shaded environments. Thanks to its scale and strategic location near major tourist routes and Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport, Quinta do Bom Gosto is ideally suited either as a prestigious private residence or for the development of a boutique rural tourism or hospitality project.
