Farm, Casegas, Covilhã

Just three minutes from the center of Casegas, this rural property of approximately 6 hectares stretches along a valley offering great privacy, where nature, abundant water, and diverse landscapes create a setting that is rare in the Serra da Estrela region. Comprising several rustic structures, the property includes a building adapted for residential use, a restored ruin with a bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen area, as well as two other stone buildings with potential for renovation. It also benefits from grid electricity, an artesian well, an irrigation system, air conditioning, an automatic gate, and video surveillance. The land extends across forested areas, cultivated fields, and a diverse orchard comprising approximately 80 cherry trees, 20 olive trees, fig trees, apple trees, peach trees, walnut trees, pear trees, persimmon trees, and a vineyard. A stream runs through the property and contributes to the existing water system, providing a particularly valuable resource for maintaining and utilizing the space. In one of the valley’s widest and flattest areas lies a swimming pool of approximately 66 m², currently nearing completion, designed to take advantage of the natural surroundings and the property’s water supply. The size of the land, the existing natural resources, and the infrastructure already in place make this property especially appealing for projects related to nature tourism, rural retreats, self-sufficiency, or small-scale farming. Given its size, privacy, water resources, and existing infrastructure, this is a unique property, particularly suited for those seeking to develop a project related to nature, self-sufficiency, or rural tourism.
